Hello and, welcome to my website!

My name is Alessio Cardillo and I am a post-doc research fellow at the Department of Art and Hummanities and at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) at the Open University of Catalonia (Spain). My research activity pivots around the study of complex systems encoded as networks, using a blend of agent-based simulations and analytical methods. I am equally interested in studying the structure of complex systems/networks, as well as the emergence of collective phenomena on them. I started my research activity in March 2005, under the supervision of Prof. Vito Latora. In 2014, I obtained my PhD in Physics under the supervision of Prof. Jesús Gómez-Gardeñes at both the Department of Physics of Condensed Matter, and the Institute for Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems (BIFI) of Zaragoza (Spain).
